About Laura Lea
I painted the "Swan Song" as an allegory to my renewed passion for art when I returned to the US in 2021. After 20 years of living in Poland and raising my four children, my marriage came to an end, and my life changed completely. My two youngest children, teenagers at the time, came with me, and my oldest son soon followed. Being back in the USA after 20 years was like coming home in the movie "Back to the Future." A big casino went in that destroyed all the mom and pop businesses. Plants, animals, and climate changed, but my old, sleepy hometown looked pretty much the same as always. Here I rediscovered the freedoms I was lacked as a result of a difficult marriage and living in a foreign country: God's presence in my life, financial independence, to speak and be heard, friendships and community, peaceful living, the ability to mentor my children, charity for others, and my passion for art.

In Poland, when I found time while raising four children, I designed and animated characters for a game and Polish Television, taught English, and wrote and published two books. I developed a love for story telling because I spent so many hours reading books to my children.

In the 90s, I lived in California and worked in fine art silkscreen and computer games for Virgin Interactive Entertainment and Sony Interactive Entertainment. When my oldest son was born, I left working 9 to 5 and freelanced for online games.
